Leatherman is not going to include the sheath or the accessories once supplied

Not surprising.
Considering how "proud" Timmy is of all his products, he can keep them.
I just checked the price on what I have. (Charge+ TTI). $199.96 with a nylon sheath and removable use one or the other pocket clip or lanyard ring. $239.95 with bit sets 1 & 2 that used to come with it. The replacement wire cutter blades are $10.⁰⁰ double what they cost a year or two ago.
He even wants $10 for a single "T" shank jigsaw blade for the Super Tool 300!!!🤯😳

Nope. Way too greedy in my opinion. There are other makers of multitools that are just as good - if not better - for much less money.
Timmy is not getting another cent out of me.
I paid too much for the bit set #2 and camo sheath I bought a couple years ago - and they were on sale!

I recently bought another ARC and noticed that it didn't come with the accessories which I thought was weird. I went and looked at my order and noticed that they stopped including those...
Not that I've ever used the sheaths or the extra bits anyway... It is a little disappointing but I would probably rather have these accessories removed then the price to go up

I was looking around and I found this, a multi-tool, flashlight, and pen included, on sale $149 bucks.

Sadly it seems the accessories have been removed, combined with a noticable price increase.
It wasn't two years ago a Charge+ TTI was around $139.⁹⁵ with bit kits 1 and 2 (and the replacement bit kits were $10 each ... if LM had them in stock ...) and sheath. The ratchet extension was $15, the plain extension was $10.

Feels like the 35% to 50% tariffs announced by the current resident of 1600 PA. Ave, Washington, DC over the last couple years are being applied to Leatherman products. 🤨😡🤬👎

Like I said in another thread, my bit set #1 is missing two bits; has been since before I inherited my multitool. It would cost $20 plus tax and shipping to get a replacement set.
For well under $10 I could get a 1/4 inch bit set that has the two missing #1 & #2 square bits, with a driver.
I already have a 1/4" and 1.8" bit sets, with the equivalent bits ... and then some, including security bits, that are part of my EDC.
No real need for me to get the proprietary LM bits. (besides, I have not needed a #1 or #2 square bit since I built a 8x10 storage shed and floor from Home Despot, in 2004 or 2005.)

Literally everything has gone up in price in the last 5 years. Every single thing. Why would Leatherman be immune to all the price increases?

If it helps, they have 25% off until the end of the month on parts and accessories.

The tax and shipping added back roughly 26%~27% to total cost of a bit set #1.
$22 instead of $15. I didn't have the $22. TBH, the $15 was pushing my budget after paying rent, getting my month's supply of chewing tobacco, and a couple 2 liter of Shasta's version of Mountain Dew.

LM accessories have literally doubled in cost.
The tools themselves have increased more than the annual inflation rates.
I know prices for everything immediately up with the first Covid stimulus package, in Donny's first term, and immediately after the next/final two Covid's stimulus packages. Those three stimulus packages added to the inflation rates.

Well I have never really been a fan of the leatherman's as I find them to be heavy. If there is no sheath included then it is a hard pass for now on.

Im not really too bent out of shape to lose the included sheaths, [to me] they aren't the best quality and the button tends to come off due to a lousy glue job, I acthally have been discarding them lately when a new leatherman comes.
--- and since the sheaths are imported i can understand if tariffs are to blame for cost increase. If you look at the box the leatherman tool comes in, it says something like 'made in USA with domestic and imported parts' , tariffs would affect this because if any part of the tool comes from another country, tariffs will negatively impact the overall cost in some way.
Or it could just be simple greed 🤷🏽‍♂️

We are all better off financially these days, we are told, so it is natural for LM to ask for more money, to redistribute some of that extra income we have.
:)

I have been looking at all of the multi-tools that Gerber makes, with the knowledge that Gerber is at least assembled in the US. Their lineup has some very thoughtful combinations.

IIRC there was some drama about Leatherman using plier heads that were foreign made and "assembling" them here in the US. Not sure what became of that. I still have my old Surge that is holding up fine, and from what I remember it did include the bit set and soft case.
