I'm considering getting a new wave and retiring my old one into back up duty...The reason I ask is on my fast few camping trips I've got along splendidly using a large fixed blade 7-12 inch blade length..they've handled chopping splitting and slicing duty.. SO I'm thinking about a bk7/leaterman wave woods combo.

I would add a folder fo convienience, but its all good.

No new leathermans for me. In addition to my dislike for the company, their quality has fallen. My first leatherman (NOT a wave, the original model) lasted for about a decade of very hard use. My last two leathermen have had two failures shortly after I bought them. The screwdriver chipped on one and the little springs fell out of my surge.
