Lefties assemble

I used to tolerate wrong-handed liner locks, but the moment I got a lefty Military I finally understood what it feels like to use a proper liner lock knife. I now exact vengeance upon opposite handed people when they want to borrow a knife by letting them use this one.

Other than the Military, my knives have been pretty much ambi-handed back or ball bearing locks (pretty much all Spydercos). I have a Mini-Griptilian on the way; would REALLY like to get my hand on a Sebenza (or a Southard if it were made correctly). I currently EDC a Dragonfly ZDP.

Agree on the lefty Military. Had one in M390/CF that I really enjoyed using; sold it once I got the lefty.

On the Southard... along with a SNG, one of only two non-lefty friendly knives I carry. I just took the clip off and let it ride in the bottom of my pocket. To me, it's that good.

As long as it has a reversible pocket clip I can live with it. As another poster stated, we lefties have learned to adapt and live in a right handed world.

And yes, I am a machinist. I could put a pocket clip on anything, but I don't think I should have too.

Lefty here, I will buy and use as long as it is left side and tip up carry. I can figure out how to open and close it one handed. I am currently carrying a PM2, but also carry a 580 Barrage, 940 Osborne, Delica, and rarely a Spyderco Resiliance.

This. I am a lefty that is right eye dominant, so I shoot righty, and carry my pistol on my right hip. So my carry knife must be lefty tip up carry, currently a ZT 560 BW. Have a few lefty Sebenzas also

My sentiments exactly.

As a lefty with considerable training it is my humble opinion that one should knife fight with his off hand. Leaving your strong hand for blocking and strikes.

Also all Japanese kata's are tailored for right handed and for one to take very complex movements and translate to left handed would take three times longer to learn.

I am a fellow lefty and while I have a few righty production knives (very few like 3), I don't really carry them anymore.

I pretty much stick to buying true lefty customs and axis/bolt lock blades. Although I seem to only carry my lefty customs nowadays.

Nice to see fellow lefties on here, what a great thread topic! Im jealous of those with custom lefthanded folders. I respect any maker/ company more that taylors a model or product for us left handed folks. (untapped market if you aske me) Like everyone else im just used to using right handed knives because that's the way it works lol. My usual rotation is: zt801, lionspy, pm2, amd vallitoon. All of which happen to have left hand carry option which isn't something I even think about when buying, its a small improvement but its still right handed. I REALLY wanted to get a LH Grimsmo Norisman when he was taking orders but they are a little too much for my budget..but someday, she will be mine, oh yes, she will be mine...

I'm left handed and have never really had any issue with my knives, as they can be configured to be ambidextrous. My only concern is that not a lot of sheaths are made with left handed people in mind, so I have to get creative if I want to carry right-handed fixed blade knife.

All my custom fixed blades have RH sheaths. I still wear them on my left. I actually think they are easier to draw and sheath this way. As another poster commented, I would also love a lefty southard. Oh well.

I myself also being a lefty. I agree with Swallisa i find it much easier to carry my knife on my right side when carrying a pistol on my hip, especially if i have to get my knife out fast I don't have to negotiate around my pistol and holster to retrieve my knife. That and it only takes a fraction of a second to switch my knife to my left hand if needed.

We are the same for hand and eye dominance, however I am ambidextrous in most things.

Hello all ya lefties. I'm a righty who sometimes carries lefty. I carry a firearm on my right (dominate) side and prefer to carry lefty. Any user lefty CRKs for sale, PM me please. Nothing fancy, would prefer beat up or worn.

I am predominantly lefty, but I can use knives comfortably with either hand (fortunately).
