Legacy Series #4- John White, Maker- Joe Mason, Engraver-(Best Of Show-Blade 2013))

John,

Well deserved congratulations. Coop took some great looking photos of that knife, but it is really something to see in person.

Super job.

John, just amazing work! Proud of you! Such a talent. Two awards for this one, and best bowie award. Not a bad show...not bad at all.

- Joe

Congratulations John. Certainly a well deserved award. A stunning piece in all respects.

Congrats again, John. A worthy winning knife, and a very worthy maker. And major kudos to Joe Mason, too, for his fine contributions to this masterpiece.

I cannot imagine how proud you, Joe, and the knife's owner, must (and should!) feel.

John you are on fire and have been for some time now congrats on a well deserved win

Congratulation to John White, Joe Mason and Preston as this Dagger is truly magnificent in every respect, especially the perfectly executed Damascus pattern.

I got to see this knife up close and personal. It is quite frankly beyond description. John's attention to detail is without parallel. His kindness and willingness to help are equal to his talent.

John, This is one of the finest knives I,ve seen. The judges nailed this one. Congratulations on the well deserved award.

I saw this piece at the show and was literally too intimidated to even pick it up. The awards couldn't have possibly gone to a more deserving artist...Congratulations John, YOU ARE THE MAN!!!

I was one of the lucky people who got to see this knife, aye, even hold this knife at the Show.

This is, and I don't mean this figuratively, the kind of piece that can cause tears in the eyes, and a catch in the breath. Unless you have less sensitivity to beauty than an earthworm, you just can't help it! It's that good - once a piece like this is in front of you, in your hand, you no longer control the show. It makes its own demands on the artistic side of your nervous system, and awe and pleasure bubble up naturally. For the first time, I put myself on a waiting list for a custom knife, and thank you for that, John.

The time until my turn comes will pass very slowly indeed! [muttered under the breath]: "Patience, must learn patience..."

Beautifully stated:thumbup:

Congratulations John! Not only is the dagger/sheath awesome, but the display is well thought out and executed.

Thank you all for these generous words.

Preston, who commissioned this piece and followed it's progress closely, and Joe Mason, who designed and executed the beautiful and distinctive gold inlay and engraving, deserve an additional mention.

We makers would not be doing what we do without patrons like Preston.

I would not have been satisfied with how this piece turned out without Joe Mason's artistic input and collaboration.

Thanks again, all, and to Joe and Preston in particular.
