I'm not a smoker, so the place will be for entertainment purposes, and of course the tobacco production. I believe the property is in an area near Laviga(sp?) my Spanish language skills are very remedial, and reading it even worse. But, yeah, if you are familiar with tobacco production and the Dominician Republic you might want to plan a vacation in the Winter to the new Estancia Busse this coming year...

1Tracker, do you mean 'La Vega'? I believe 'vega' means 'farmland' in Spanish, and in this context it should be understood as 'tobacco growing field' (it does so elsewhere...). I think that's a good sign!! Anyway, La Vega is in a large valley and somewhat sheltered from weather influences by mountain ranges in north and south. It's directly on the major route north from capitol Sto. Domingo about 150 km away. No beaches in sight though, that's another 2 hour drive...
But hey, I'm not a fish, and at least the smoke will keep the mosquito's at bay...just thought of something: Bacardi is also in the Dom. Republic...hmmm, cutting fresh sugar cane with a Busse, the blade dripping with sweet, creamy juice...does this sound as bad to you as it does to me

In Quebec you can buy beer and wine from 7am to 11pm 7 days a week in any convenience store, grocery store or gas station. Then again, we aren't really Canada, are we.
