It's not an even taper, I want the portion that faces forward to be a little bit stouter and the portion under the fingers to thin out quicker. I want to avoid the blocky look and let it have some melt.

I've got the end piece and spacers cut out. Working on cleaning up the blade and prepping this piece for soldering. I'm happy with the way everything is flowing so far.
