I read both posts and i'm still confused. Can we keep it in small words and short paragraphs? :)

Same here. I'm not sure I really understand the over-all concept. Please clarify. :D

Here's what I see KIT. If you have some really nice knife pics to post of knives that are already sold then you can post them. But don't post nothing you ain't sold or you're plugging. Is that what you read?

Kit, when I was in the military, there was this annoying little thing that new HMFIC's did when they arrived. The new commander would make little rules up like "no pop machine access til noon" or "all lockers will now be painted blue".

Blues has got to make up some kind of stupid little law so that everyone knows that he is the new big stick. Just let him finish posting his Ten Commandments and we'll all be back to normal soon. To quote a couple of old tunes....

"It aint no big thing"
"Same as it ever was"

Hang around for alittle while longer Mr. Carson. It'll all blow over soon. And BTW, Get rid of that blatant advertisement of and avatar of yours or you are gonna be outta here.

You mean to say that a custom knife ain't really a custom knife any more unless it's already sold? Is that what you're saying? Man, I don't have any of those anyway. Everything I've ever made except for a few were already sold. Hell, I don't post pics here anyway so what the hell. Too bad for the rest of the guys though.

Max, if you sell one, then you won't have it anymore will you? Why don't you think about it for a minute. There will be a very short time frame where the knife will be sold, but not shipped yet. Snap a pic of it then and post it. As long as it is sold, you got no problem.

But if it is a knife of mine you are photographing, you should be wrapping it up and sending it instead of monkeying with the camera over it. If you mess around long enough with the camera, your waiting time will rise up to the annoying level, like Carson's or Herman's, so just don't mess with the pics.

I guess all you makers are gonna have to hop into a thread and describe the knives from now on, so be accurate, and don't misspell anything either.

Any more stupid questions or stupid makers out there?

Vel
What you're saying makes pretty good sense, but what if you made the knife for your own use?

Oh, now I get it. I'm not really a custom maker any more. What a relief! So I can post all the pics I want and not offend anyone in here because they might mistakenly think I was plugging. OK, thanks for the clarification Vel. I can live with that. ALl my current orders aren't customs anymore so I can put pics of them up here and not feel bad about it. Cool.

What??? I don't get it. If a knife is sold you cann't take a pic of it? Well then there should be no problem if you aint got a pic you cann't post it. Right?

Kit, let me see if I can explain this to you.

As an example, something like thi would be a No No

Sam, if you make the knife for your own use, then you are selling it to yourself and that makes it out of bounds. Don't sell yourself short on the rules.

Max, if your knives aren't custom anymore, then you have no business here in the CUSTOM knife forum then, do you?

Please go back up and read the rules and stop asking questions. For Gawd's sake you guys, use the search function or something.

If all My shits sold already before I even make it then I'm not even a custom maker any more so I can post whatever I want to. Or is that right? Hmmmm....... Or since I'm a custom knife maker, maybe every knife I make is custom so isn't allowed in the custom forum any more. Damn, now I'm starting to get cornfused. Let's see. I make custom knives because they're one of a kind but I'm not allowed to post pics of them unless they're already sold or someone might think I'm trying to sell them here. Damn, I'm getting cornfuzzled again. Let me start over.

****, nevermind, I have some CUSTOM knives to make.

I think you are finally with the program, Max.

Now I have a question. I buy knives. That makes me a CUSTOM-er. Are CUSTOM-ers allowed in this forum? Cuz the way I see it, I'm buying, not selling. But is buying not a form of commercialism?

Now you got me confused. I'd better switch forums for a while. Like the General Anesthetic forum, or the nut Gallery forum. I'll be back to check on you later.

Hey, Tim. Isn't that knife for sale on ebay?
