... and back to Kizer. Here is a slightly modified Yorkie and one of several variations of the Gemini. Both of these were designed by Ray Laconico. He keeps coming up here and for good reason.

That natural micarta is a bit "meh", much prefer the blue richlite version.. I'm thinking about grabbing one and dying it a darker brown but I'm so used to top flippers and the only front flipper I've owned was really difficult to grip to flip

I only sanded around the edges for ergonomic purposes. Here it is with a similarly rainy picture from the other day
It was my first time dyeing this material and the results are interesting. The thready visual contrast was wiped out in favor of a rich uniform color. It still has a fabric-like visual presentation but the change is dramatic. It still has a wonderfully soft and fuzzy feel in hand. I look forward to seeing how it wears over time.
