Off Topic Lesson learned what not to eat at a gas station

Most gas station delis in out of the way places in Louisiana have better food than most restaurants in big cities elsewhere.
 
I always choose the roller dog in the way back. Think of the things that bad boy has seen and all its wisdom you'll absorb by consuming it. :thumbsup:
 
I will say that some gas stations have very good food. Best BBQ I ever ate was from a gas station in Kansas City. Joe's I think,wow what BBQ.
I buy nothing made at Indian owned stores,they never throw away out of date stuff. I remember from my Pepsi days the Indian store owners trying to buy back out of date products to resale. I am sure all are not like that but from what I have seen I do not want to chance it.
 
Louisiana is exempt from all discussions of bad food. They know what they are doing in that state.
 
There is a gas station/minimart by my workplace that actually makes a great gyro wrap. Perhaps the exception proves the rule.

And the Double Stuffed Philly Cheesesteak at Sheetz is pretty darned good.

There's a place called Sheetz, really? And they serve gas station food? bahwahhahahahaha! :p

I smell :rolleyes: a jingle...Motorin' down the pike and ya need ya some eatz? -- Pull over hungry Pilgrim and get the Sheetz :poop:! ...

I work in the middle of Colorado as a Deputy Sheriff. Several years ago, I was on foot patrol in a business district at approximately 3:00 in the morning. A two door sedan screams into the parking lot of the closed convenience store I was at and ran his bumper into the dumpster enclosure door. Driver bails out of the car, scrambles over the fence and jumps into the dumpster. I say "WTF" and get the passenger out of the car. Passenger is laughing hysterically. Driver ate two of the rotisserie hot dogs from a gas station 40 miles down the road and had an explosive diarrhea episode. To give him credit he figured in a dumpster would be better than roadside and he found some slightly used napkins to wipe with. 2:00am hot dogs = BAD
 
Casey's pizza is pretty good, but the only other thing I will eat from a gas station is ice cream from the freezer.;)

It's all good until you need to take a major Sheetz later.
 
As stated earlier, don't let the name fool.you. Sheetz is good gas station food. Once had a chicken sandwich with cheese sticks on it

No doubt, I trust you, just pokin fun at the name:p... a funny coincidence considering the topic
 
Gas stations are for feeding machines, not people... when people eat there they typically have emissions problems soon after. o_O
