I find all this angst pretty amusing. From what I have seen, these internet special releases are pretty rare knives with limited numbers. The little games that get played are a way of weeding out the casual fans. Note that I don't mean newbies! But you have to be paying complete attention and know the rules in order to not get suckered. I think it is a rite of passage. I got fooled in the Knob Creek sale, but recovered. Live and learn.
 
Yep...I knew the pranks were coming...but i was so pumped up that I got suckered by the Idohoskunk post....live and learn.....It's the way of the INFI...I will get mine...sometime.....and after all...it is just a knife...there will be other "different" knives, and maybe i will get one of em...that way, trades can continue...if we all got the same stuff, there would be no reason to trade, sell, and drool over others' collections...etc..etc...BUT, I would still like Idohoskunk to come out and identifiy thyself...so I can curse your name:D peace, John

I'm not trying to hurt your feelings. I have fallen for the same trickery in the past. All it would have taken for you to be "In the know" is to have spent 5 minutes reading, and you would have then had the same chance the rest of us had, no more no less. I'm sure there will be many more offerings to come in the future. :)
 
It has been a learning experience. I've gotten over it. It helps that my SJT with snake handles arrived today. What sucks is that I am out of AA's and I can't taken some pics with my Kifaru gear.

Liberal boards?? I am sure they exist but I prefer places where I can get something useful done.
 
I caught wind of the Rippers, STRippers and Heavy Hearts awhile ago, and not nescessarily here. I've seen a couple of these events and I still was premature twice on this offer. I want a STRipper very, very much. But who knows? To the point........ I am not a newbie, I've known a little about this for awhile, I jumped the gun, I still don't know if I'll get the knife I want. I'm also not gonna act like it's somebodies fault, this has been fun, until the whining started. We all give each other crap on one level or another, so put on the teflon and let it roll off or don't participate. Research and a choice is all it takes to figure it out, so hopefully see ya all around the campfire.:thumbup:
