Mojo/Mofos are my favorite Busse! I love the balance and feel that they have to them and their dual role as fighter/combat knife.

"What models does your Busse collection focus on? For me it's Mojos, Natural Outlaws, Satin Jacks and Mean Steets."

Mine doesn't really have a focus on any specific model. I'm not sure you could even call it a "collection", though I have a lot of Busse knives. My knives are all users, and I simply get knives that seem like they'll fill a need. Probably the most similar Busses I have (not including Swamp Rats) are the Assault Shaker and the Pepper Shaker.

I would actually like a 3/16 shaker rather than the fattie combat recruit i have. Seems it would be a bit more usefull. Maybe one of these days i'll trade it off, nah, hehe. :p

Crinkle coat or smooth?

It's a smooth coat 5/16 A-2 recruit. I bought it as a combat recruit, but after talking with jerry at blade west 03 (where i met you jaime) i was told it was a police recruit. Thought i'm confused (imagine that) i know it's a fattie no matter what it turns out to be. It was made in about 95-96 so i'm not sure what it's supposed to be called really.

The Pepper Shaker has become my everyday carry pocket knife for the last year. I've used it for everything from chopping wood into kindling (with a baton), breaking through ice, defending against a surly Mastiff, whittling tent stakes, prepping dinner, etc.

Great knife!

I think the Police Recruit is a little larger than I'd want to keep in my pocket all the time. Also, I want my pocket knife to be INFI.

They are spiffy, though. If you offered me one, I sure wouldn't turn it down.

Yeah I've actually got a Combat Recruit and it's smalller than the PR. And yes I remember meeting you there.

Tyuio,

My Pepper Shaker is 3/16, hollow grind; my Assault Shaker is 5/16 flat ground. The best of both worlds. :)

T,

Yeah, we meet at Blade West '04. Good times! I hope to see, again, at a future HotRT (Hogs of the Round Table) gathering. And, of course, B, we also met there.
