Lets Ask Chuck Buck to add the 112

Mr. Buck,

I just had to buy a BM griptilian in D2 yesterday. Help me out and offer me a premium steel for a 112 and the check is in the mail. I for one will collect up 3 or 4 if you make them available. I feel confident that 1000 wouldn't last long.

Ok, I think this is a grand idea...Retro 112, specifically run an exact copy of the First Version from '72 with two differences:
1. High-end steel (I've got hots for Benchmade's D2 right now)
2. Thumb stud.

So, this is it...a dream 112:
- No radiused bolsters or handles
- Black Micarta with only 2 inlay rivets
- NO nail nick on the blade. Also, its got to have that distinct grind.
- Ease of one hand opening and a left or right thumb stud.
- Nickel Silver bolsters (I don't think I've ever seen N/S without the radius style).
- CMP-154 in mirror finish or D2 Titanium Oxide black blade.

I can see it my minds eye. Black on Black with Silver trim. Now that's a picture I'd really, really like to put my hands on!!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

I think you would have to beat folks off the front door trying to get one!!

Chuck, we need a sizzling hot 112 and that knife I just layed out would be One Bad Boy!!

OK so I copied and sent that last post to the customshop. I'll be interesting to see if they respond & if so, what they say about that very good suggestion/design possibility.

I wouldn't mind seeing the 112 added to the custom options, and seeing d2 or even a2 added as a stel option...buck 112 nickel bolsters a2 steel...that might be ther perfect knife....when I get around to ordering my custom 110 it'll be the same except s30v steel.

ah yes...
but sadly i only collect the folding hunter...

Dave,

You should change that with great haste. 112's are fantastic knives. If only Buck would offer one in CPM-154 or the other custom upgrades I'd be delighted to purchase several more of the things.

well at one time i did collect the 112 and was working on a dad and lad display of matching knives

but bucksway bought all i had !
so i wont dance wit his girl and he dont dance wit mine!!:confused:
he is my brother
i got him started in collecting bucks so i wont complete with him ...
he wants CJ to have the custom shop do 112's so bad he can taste it!
lota ranger fan's it seems ...
send emails with your real name! is all i can suggest..;)

I did send CJ a PM and politely asked if he'd viewed the several 112 custom shop threads and if he'd care to share any info on the subject. Unfortunely, I've not heard back yet. But I hope to. Those guys are very busy I'm sure.

I first thought that was a 110 & 112. I just bought the 112 so I looked again and now I'm not so sure. Front bolster on larger knife is a 112 design. Can you fill in the details. I will probably be looking for my 112's mate also. I also just reread Bucksway saying 112 & 110. So can verify for me??? Thanks

This is my 112 (its not here yet):
Question: Do I have a 110? It is certainly starting to look like a 3 3/4" blade to me.
