Lets dedicate some time to the 119 and its 75th Anniversary.

Same as Badhammer, it has been getting worse and worse. Seems the ads load really SLOW and hang it up. Hard to complain about something free but wondering if paying the $14 to go ad free would speed it up. Anyone Try that?

I paid something like $25 for more storage and mine works flawlessly everytime, plus no ads. You guys have great memories!!

Just to see?

This is the remark I was referring to how did you remember that?

Remember what?

J/k. I have no idea. I just seem to make a mental note of things and it gets filed away until I need it. Funny thing is I can't remember my grand daughters half the time and one of them has the same birthday I do.

I had to use tinypic to post the 119's pics. Photobucket didn't recognize my user name or password so I couldn't get to my bucket. Thinking it should be renamed and spelled with an f instead of a b! JMHO. Preston

Thank You all for your kind words. No I do not have any 119 stone handles. Well My confidence in photobucket just crashed like a ton of bricks all of my pictures are gone because the one I posted isn't even showing. First time it failed on me. Now I invested money in them and hope the fix is fast or I'm asking for some money back.

I went to photobucket and there is a message that this is a scheduled service. It said for one hour but this is the next day?
I guess now you have to check with photobucket when they will be down for servicing then expect a day or more.

Very nice. The 119 Special and it's variants are one of my favorite Buck fixed blades.

Badhammer,

Did you pick this one up at the Shenandoah Valley Knife show last weekend? I looked at the exact same knife on Sunday and regretted not going back to get it.

No, I never made it to the show. Spent the weekend in the bathroom with some kind of stomach bug. I picked that one up off the bay as I recall. One of the limited editions done for Jeff at the Cutlery Shoppe years ago.

Sorry to hear. I went on Sunday and it was dead. Most people were packing up or already gone. But it's always a pleasure to look at the BCCI displays.

My only 119. I bought it pretty beat up a few years back off the bay. Cleaned it up some and used it a little bit but haven't done much else with it. I love the looks of the 119 and don't know why I don't own more.

Nice grouping of 119s Makael:thumbup:.

I have not bought a 75th Anniversary as yet. The only one I have seen for sale has been the Cabela's tin. I'm waiting, hoping that Buck graces us with an upgraded steel and handle model. No cut-out or billboard printing on that blade for me. Preston

My two 119's. Both bought used in antique stores. One was absolutely like new, I swear it had the factory edge on it and it was still sharp. That one came with the original Buck sheath and the sheath had just a bit of mildew. I think someone bought it, never got his deer, then left it in a damp basement. I wiped the sheath with vinegar and then polished it with shoe polish, it looks as great as the knife now.

The second 119 was a "shelter rescue dog" that cost $10, had no sheath, and looked like this:

That one required a lot of time with various grades of sand paper and some time on a belt sander, then some time with a guided sharpening system. I left that one with a matte finish. I also made a sheath, copying Buck as much as possible but made it brown instead of black. It is my first sheath so go easy on me. The results (Rescue dog on top):

Well done Pondoro2310, the blade on the rescue is terrific. Preston
