Lets dedicate some time to the 119 and its 75th Anniversary.

Howdy folks,

Been lurking many years. Enjoyed the knowledge present on this site. I don't have much knowledge about knives other than I like them. I joined for this thread. I have a cool 119 but know nothing about it. I cant find any reference to a Jim Buck. Kinda wondered if it was a play on words. Jim (Bowie) Buck (knife)

Enjoy, MP

Handsome knife, if mine, I would send to Leroy and have him remove the name...if printed on, not a problem. If engraved then might be a difficult task, but he could/would tell you. Preston

ETA, Welcome!

Thanks Preston but help a new guy out here. Leroy?

I was hoping maybe CJ would chime in and say if there was a Jim in the family. The name looks to just be painted on. I think steel wool would solve it but it hasn't bothered me as yet.

Leroy Remer, a former Buck Knives employee, who does a lot of work on Buck knives. He runs his own custom knife business. If you send me an email I'll give you his contact info...don't think I can do it on the forum. Preston
