Let's Have An Auction for Ray!

Thats a great looking knife Michael! Its too late possibly for the auction but I think there will be one more at least thats what I heard. We just pulled in from Blade West, What a good show! The auction table was full of beautiful knives and hawks. Im just proud of everybody that helped out. I didnt hear the total amount raised but I bet it was allot! You guys are the best!

please review the show, and auction? I can't reach Chuck on the phone, and the suspense is killing me.

Best Regards,

Steven Garsson

Me either.Emailed him a little earlier.I'm sure he has a lot on his plate and George from Athens may have messed with his head.Steven,I think I was the high bidder on your Don Fogg, I sure hope so,that was awfully cool of you and bet ya' hated parting with it.Peace,leatherbird. :)

I just walked in the door. The auction was great! The total money from the auction is:

$8,323!

An we have a few more knives to auction!

I'm totally blown away with how helpful everyone has been. The knife makers and collectors are the best people in the world. I'm sure the total would have been higher if the auction had been better publicized. All weekend people said they would have participated if they would have known.

I will not post the totals for all the auctions here are the highlights:

Top Auction Items
  • The Don Fogg knife sold for $1,000
  • The Ken Onion Forum knife sold for $760
  • The KMG sold for $700
  • The Dave Kelly folder sold for $650

Top Bidders
  • The top bidder spent $1,675
  • The 2nd top spent $1,025
  • The 3rd top Spent $760
  • Two people spent $700

I think Ray was in a state of shock!

Chuck,Checked Bidding Site and High Bid was 900 dollars for the Fogg,Bidder B0020,that was me. Did I miss something?

We are off to Blade West.

I changed the bidding information on the website.
http://www.knifemakersupport.com/

If you want to bid and cannot go to the show, call my cell (425-868-5880) and place your bid.
I posted the note 09-30-2005 at 4:50 am as we left for Blade West. The auction was finished at Blade West. Someone there raised the bid. As noted on the bidding information, we did not have a way to update the web pages while we were at the show.

OK.Sorry for the confusion,I just kept checking the bids site and thought I was the winning bidder.Hoping the talk of a Part II of the Auction for Ray comes to fruition as I'm sure there will be a lot of fine blades to bid on.Congratulations to whomever got the Don Fogg dirk.

Chuck, I sure hope you had sometime at the show to sell your products. Everytime I came by it looked like you were busy with the auction. You really deserve a special Thanks for all the work you put into it! I've really been BLESSED! Many, many Thanks to all!

$8323...How Cool is that!!

Dave, Mitch, Chuck, Nick, All the donors, the buyers...and all involved!

You folks ROCK!!!

"PRICELESS"

RFRINK good for you! How about we just send Ray the grinder!

It's at times like this I wish I made knives that others would buy. I'm mostly a woodworker, so I'm not much help. Ray did help me out when I was making my forge. Nice Guy.

Wow that is absolutely incredible! Amayzing what people can do when they join forces to make something happen.
