Please post pictures, if you made them or bought them; and where you purchased them!

Let's see what you guys got!:D

Gah, now I feel bad for kicking off a bit of trolling. There are definitely some really cool lanyards out there and I, and others, would love to see 'em.

OP We're poking a bit of fun, but I think this is an interesting idea for a thread. Sorry if I derailed too much.

Fancy huh?

Some nice fobs above:p

No lanyards though;)

Kayaking rig: MISSION knife with lanyard attached to buoyancy vest. All titanium hardware (knife, chain ring bolts, split ring, carabiner) for maximum rust resistance.

All of these are homemade. The one on the left is a finger lanyard. It was the most difficult as it required splicing orange and black paracord and then tying a "Matthew Walker" knot with the splice hidden. I have not been able to make another so perfectly and, I have tried.

The four on the right are for utility. They are full wrist lanyards that are tied with "Mathew Walker" knots and each end finished in a knot I am unable to name. The length of the full wrist lanyard is taken up by a knot (I also cannot name) at the top to make them more EDC friendly. The top knot can be untied if needed. The others are permanent.

Bladescout, only thing I absolutely would add to that vest is a quality/bright flash light!

Saw on the spyderco forum that one guy put green glow in the dark powder in a spydy dice emblem on his lanyard.. looked killer!

I like the idea of a lanyard but have concerns about them, Im afraid it will act like a beacon or advertisement flapping around for a thief to run by and grab. Secondly, Im afraid of one getting caught on something without my knowledge, pulling my knife out and loosing it.

Yes, a quality light on the rig would be good for kayaking at night.

I have a compact titanium whistle as well (now installed on the rig but not pictured).

I used to go lanyard/fob crazy

But now I just stuff some tritium in my lanyard/fob holes

No reason the lanyard can't be carried inside your pocket, to remedy all of those concerns.

Made this one, although I've come to realize I'm not a huge fan of lanyards. At least not on the knives I carry. But that doesn't take away from how cool they look.
