Thanks. I think you’ll like it. The knife felt a little off to me today and it turned out the pivot was working itself loose. I took it out and there was no Loctite on it so I put a couple wraps of the white plumbers tape on it and it should be all good now. That is sweet man !!
Just ordered one last night in Battleship grey to match my HK lol .
Thanks I’m really looking forward to this one !!Thanks. I think you’ll like it. The knife felt a little off to me today and it turned out the pivot was working itself loose. Hinderer Full Track is really tempting. 600 dollars are not small money, but compared to many other ugly knives in the market that cost more, I am persuading myself to get one.
I learned my lesson with Loctite on one of my old Spydercos. I don’t use it anymore. The tape has worked well for me so far. It also comes off easy, so that’s another good thing about it. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised the first time you get the knife in hand a flick it open. Be sure to post pictures when you get yours. Thanks I’m really looking forward to this one !!
Plumbers tape is a good idea never really tried it . I normally just use a really light coat of blue loctite on a couple of threads on the pivot screw and they don’t back out . Although never had the new tri-way but I imagine it’s the same pivot screw type .
Definitely don’t loctite the handle screws though .
I’ve had four or five Hinderers over the years so this one I’m really looking forward to.
Btw I really like the black/Blue g10 on yours . That and the battleship grey I was going back and fourth on for hours lol .
That knife looks great.Sweet knife, DR.I really like the blue/black G10 too, but got an email from DLT today indicating they had more colors available. There's one in red there that really floats my boat. I could see myself grabbing one down the road after there are more out there and the secondary market develops.
I've had the same four RHKs for some time now and went with my Dragon yesterday.

I’ll have to pick some of that plumbers tape and give it a try . Spydies and BM’s the screws are so tiny they strip out very easily .I learned my lesson with Loctite on one of my old Spydercos. ETA I bet is just a matter of time and we’ll be able to get different colored scales and can change the look of the knife if wanted.
That’s good. Now the wait begins for that knife. I bet some marble CF scales would look great.I’ll have to pick some of that plumbers tape and give it a try . Spydies and BM’s the screws are so tiny they strip out very easily .
For sure I’ll post some pics when it arrives . Got shipping notification this morning and got all excited but it’s still showing label printed only lol .
But yea I’d love to get some marble CF scales and or some micarta for a different flavor .
Edit: Tracking just got updated and it’s on the way![]()

I’ve never heard about using nail polish. I believe I learned about the tape from the CRK forum.I'm no fan of Loctite either. I put all my knife pivots back together without any thread locker. Most every one stays put just fine and for the few that drift a little over time I'd just as soon make a little adjustment when required or before pocketing in the morning if I think to check. I've only had a couple knives over the last couple years that loosened quickly--one a BMK 710 with a set of custom wood scales that wouldn't stay put and was hard to dial in--and got Loctited. I'll have to try plumbers' tape if I run into another. A friend from the Bears' Den and another forum has talked about using nail polish as a lighter alternative to Loctite--something I've yet to try.
Edit: I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's new Fulltracks here and reading your comments about them.![]()
Yes those Spyderco handle screws are expensiveI’ve never heard about using nail polish. I believe I learned about the tape from the CRK forum.
What made me stop using Loctite was when I stripped the head of one of the body screws on a PM2. Spyderco sent me the replacement screw, but only after I sent them pictures of the knife from the angles they specified.
LOL In my defense, it was a WihaYes those Spyderco handle screws are expensivelol surprised they didn’t want different angle pictures of the tool you used
