I ordered one of those Spantos then last minute cancelled it. The lack of choil was a deal breaker for me. I should have ordered it and then had REK cut a choil in it. Such a big blade needs a choil imo.
 
What is everyone doing for replacement 3.5” skinny scales? I found a few searching online but seems most scales are for the regular XM-18 and not a lot of options for the skinny that ive found. Maybe im overlooking them? Ive heard the regular xm-18 scales can be shaved/milled down to the right thickness or is custom made scales the way to go? love my RHKs but need to change up my skinny to keep it interesting.

As of today, been waiting eleven months and fours days for Skinny specific titanium scales (or even CF) so that I can "make it my own". You can pull up a chair and wait with me. Fall isn't too far off and we can watch the leaves turn...but keep 6' away from me.

Haha I feel like I've been waiting with you sir. Lets pour a glass of Lagavulin and light a nice long cigar and pass the time. 6 feet apart of course haha.

But seriously I would go bonkers for a textured Ti skinny scale.

Dlt had some skinny natural and od green micarta scales. I have a custom made Black Linen micarta if you're interested. I'll pass it along for a good price. Pm me.

I like the battle bronze with working finish. The wf hardware looks great too. I havw yet to own a wf, its on my list next.

Are there any plans by hinderer to make some? If not I could probably do a run of them at some point...

No RHK has not said anything about a release that I am aware of. Only the words we get from Whitty, Jordan or other suppliers and the little bit of info on Instagram and RHK Website. If you do a run, I'll be the fist on that list. I can get you specs on the skinny scale dimensions too I believe.
