I don’t think you’re actually supposed to cut anything with them. They’re too soft and their blades are too thick.So.. I have a dilemma... my Hinderer doesnt cut that great. I have tried to clean it up as best I could on my sharp maker (kill me). But at the end of the day the geometry just, isn't great.
SO! who does regrinds on Hinderer's nowadays?![]()

Just supposed to keep in a drawer and pull out for occasional pics and handling.
The regular xm-18 3.5 is pretty thick behind the edge, not a good slicer I agree. I can't imagine sharpmaker to be an effective tool to reprofile/sharpen it. However, some other RHK models like xm-18 3.5 skinny, wharnie, Eklipse are very good cutters.So.. I have a dilemma... my Hinderer doesnt cut that great. I'd love to have Josh at REK do a grind but he isnt taking on regrind work :'(The regular xm-18 3.5 is pretty thick behind the edge, not a good slicer I agree. I saw people selling their REK reground XM-18s once in a while. Keep an eye on the Exchange here.I'd love to have Josh at REK do a grind but he isnt taking on regrind work :'(
Jordan at DLT said he has not see something like this and neither their Hinderer guy. Could be that RHK forgot to print the horse head logo. I posted this pic before but here again. I think I'll just keep it as is.Thank youferider I PM'd Jordan let's see what he says.
Though rare , most makers have a knife slip through without markings. This would be my guess, although I am not sure when that configuration was 1st made.Jordan at DLT said he has not see something like this and neither their Hinderer guy. The other side of the blade still has "USA M390" etched so this is only half sterileA sterile XM18. How cool !
That tells everybody it's a DLT exclusive. The other side of the blade still has "USA M390" etched so this is only half sterile![]()
This is from the latest DLT exclusive batch although I recall they had this model at least once back to some time ago. Interestingly it was sold out within a minute or so. I tried hard but could not get one. Already pretty much gave up but a few minutes later when I refreshed my shopping cart I saw it's still there, hence the knife now in my possession.Though rare , most makers have a knife slip through without markings. That's the nicest hinderer I've seen yet.
Looks great! I'm looking for a Ti scale for either my Xm-18 or Eklipse. Super hard to find right now...Finally got around to installing the textured Hinderer titanium scale I got.

Have you contacted Hinderer. They put one on each knife, so they make them. The dealers just order the fancier stuff. It is where I found them many moons ago.Still looking for a bunch of filler tabs without clips. Impossible to find without stuff on them. These used to be commonly stocked items. H is just not making them anymore without the clips.
