Lets see some Hinderer action

Does this one still count?

I'm pondering an orange XM-24 Bowie. Talk me out of it folks.

(Or into it, considering the thread I'm posting in...)
IMO the Bowie blade looks a little out of proportion on the 18, but it's amazing on the 24. Pair that with an orange scale (which Hinderer does so well) and the 24's thickness, and this knife makes a heck of a statement. It's my favorite big knife -- to the point that I no longer own any others in my rotation. :)

If it's all the same to you, I might save those photos to my phone to torture myself with for a few days. ;)

Fresh Off My Workbench :

I just reprofiled a customer's Hinderer in S45VN to 15 degrees per side. I did the reprofiling work and also finished the apex on my Tormek T8 with the SG-250 grindstone, which leaves 220 grit finish. Deburring was done on the same wheel by setting the edge angle 1 degree higher and my assistant rotates the wheel by hand slowly as I take very quick and light passes flipping sides after each pass. A handful of passes on each side and you are left with an edge which is shaving sharp and will pop hairs off your arms yet also retains excellent slicing aggression and edge retention.

Has,anybody heard anything about another drop of left-handed knives for us Portsiders?

Ooh, an Eklipse Skinny would be an interesting knife! The Eklipse is already such a pocket-friendly shape, it'd be even more unobtrusive as a Skinny.

Eklipse, Skinny? You guys are crazy lol…
but I’ve got a thing goin on right now for full size - XL knives.
I’d probably love the project X, but they’re so rare and expensive right now.
I’d like to pick up one of those if they become more reasonable, meaning availability-wise and price-wise. That look (and the blade shape they did on the first batch) is really growing on me. Plus, Magnacut! (Or was it S45VN?) either way… 😍
