Lets see some Hinderer action

Which CRK model are you after? I tried the CRK thing and they just didn’t speak to me like Hinderers do. Ended up selling/trading all 3 of the ones I had to get more Hinderers. The inkosi was by far my favorite and it’s the only one I’m sure I’ll eventually buy again.
Agreed ! The Inkoso is my favorite CRK by far and I’d like to add another to my Collection and EDC also.

These are REALLY tempting me. Awesome pick up man!
My next knife purchase, whenever that may be, will probably be either a Project X or a Jurassic.
Does anyone have any experience with both models?
Thanks Brother , I own both what questions do you have I’d be more then happy to help you out 👍🏻👊🏻
Just for starters if you have extra large hands the PX would be better for you. The Jurassic because of the handle length and the bigger finger grooves medium to large you’ll be ok but any bigger and you might have a fitment issue. I have medium but wide hands and the Jurassic fits me like a glove but any bigger and I’d be hitting the fingers grooves at the wrong place . I was concerned when I bought it but did some research and thought I’d be ok and fortunately I am but it’s close.
EDIT: Also if your a couch flicker like I am and your watching hours of Murder she wrote” which I’m not” 🤪but I am watching all the ID channel murder mysteries and flicking my knife like worry beads 😆 I’ve noticed the Jurassic is the most comfortable for me . There both good but in that area hands down the Jurassic wins.

Large Inkosi.

I have had a Sebenza and an Umnumzan in the past, and loved them. Never would have sold them, but hit a rough patch, and... life happens.

Anyway, I was handling an Inkosi recently, and it speaks to me. I just can't decide between plain jane, or micarta inlays.

Large Inkosi is the only way to go the small is tiny. I’d go for the Micarta the extra thickness of the inlays makes it feel so much better in hand at least for me.

There does not seem to be enough discussions and pictures of XM-24 Skinny wharncliffe, which I'm considering buying one of while they are still available at some dealers. Could someone please share your thoughts and pictures? Thanks.

I've posted about mine a bit.

The Wharnie is a much better slicer than I expected, to the point where I reach for it over thinner knives. The needle tip is also surprisingly useful.

The regular XM-24 handle has the same great ergos for me as the XM-18 handle, but it's so thick that while I get a good, comfortable grip I don't get a fantastic grip. The Skinny XM-24 solves that; it just melts into my hand. It also carries "smaller" than the regular XM-24.

I wasn't sure what I'd make of the Skinny, or the Wharncliffe blade, and wound up loving both. After a couple months of time with it, I jumped on a Ti show-side scale because I like the knife so much.

As a do-it-all EDC blade I probably wouldn't pick the Wharncliffe, but 1) I have other knives, and 2) I usually gravitate towards lizard-brain enjoyment of a blade shape over pure practicality, and my day-to-day cutting needs are modest so just about anything with an edge can meet them. 😂

Hinderer dropped a lot of goodies today! Wish I wasn’t broke. I bought a chaos horse head clip though. Pretty excited about it.

It's been a year since I bought my first Hinderer. I remember unboxing it (XM-18 3.5 slicer) but then things get hazy. I think I lost touch with reality for about six weeks and when I came back, I had bought a total of three knives, two ti scales, and several sets of hardware. What brought me back was notification from a dealer of an Inkosi that was available. Of course that led to getting a 'Zaan, then a LG Talos. Anyway, I guess I've come full circle and purchased my first RH (Jurassic) since the feeding frenzy of '24. It just arrived today and already regret not getting it last year. It's pretty awesome.

Don’t get my wrong, I love my Hinderers…But is it me or does it seem like Uncle Rick is on a serious money grab these days? Still a couple days to go and already over 4k? Im not knocking him he built it so I’m happy he’s doing well, but wow!IMG_0795.png

If Sal had Spyderco make a one off Manix, with some wild scales and Magnacut or S90V, the guys on the board would drive the auction, higher than Rick's.

Hopefully it's going to a good cause.
Hopefully the Spydie would have a symmetrical grind like 99.99% of Rick’s :)
Unfortunately I think the percentage goes in the wrong direction from Spyderco.

Money grab? It's an open auction. The market sets the price. Rick isn't holding a gun to anyone's head to bid on this knife.

At least I hope he isn't.

Maybe he is getting ready to retire and making a victory lap 😆 Can’t say that I blame him on any account 👍🏻👊🏻

Do any of you folks have a Hinderer with jade/natural G10 scales? I'm considering one and need a little nudge in that direction. Photos if you got 'em! :)

That’s a beauty my friend! I love the extra weight the Ti scale adds to a knife. Can’t wait to see how it looks with the black hardware. I’m not sure if the hardware will fit the Jurassic but I do know that eklipse and xm hardware is interchangeable. Sorry I cost you more money 🤣.
