Lets see some Hinderer action

I really like the XM24 also but for “me” it pushes the envelope of to big. I can definitely feel that one in my pocket and almost always have to pull my belt one notch tighter 😆
I felt the same way about the XM-24 -- but the Skinny is a whole different animal. I was surprised how much easier it is to carry, and for my hands the ergonomics of the thinner overall width are better as well.

No knock on the full-fat XM-24; it's an amazing knife. But the Skinny is my jam. :)

That might be the way to go I didn’t even realize they made a skinny 👍🏻 I lost interest in the standard XM-24 after multiple attempts of ownership. Felt like I had a foot long turd or log in my front pocket 😆
Your Shinny/Wharnie sure is a looker !

I don't like a big choil on the blade, which is the main reason that I have not bought any XM-24. My XM-18 collection has been gradually changed to no-choil ones. Eklipse and Project X do not have this "issue" so they are all good to me  .
I occasionally wonder why there are no XM-24s without choils (at least AFAIK) and then remember that they'd have to redesign the stop pin situation to accommodate that change.

I expect it'll happen at some point, but I'm not holding my breath.

Anyone with experience of having RHK replace thumbstuds, like how much they charge? The thumbstud on one of my xm-18s becomes loose and it appears that I can't fix it.

Sounds to me like that would be a warranty issue, and their customer service seems to be pretty good.

I needed a replacement screw for a standoff one time, I just emailed them and they sent me one.

Well, in my case the XM-18 blade was professionally reground by BGM, so I'm not sure if RHK will take it as a warranty issue (I'm not implying BGM did anything wrong). They instructed me to send the knife in for inspection and they will then be able to tell if/how they will fix it and for how much.

It’s definitely an eklipse thing or maybe I’ve just been super lucky. I’ve had 3 and still own 2 and they’ve all been perfection! I regret selling the first one I had it was a Bowie. I’m assuming they are pretty darn consistent when they set their detents because my project x also had a really stout detent. I still like the knife but ended up selling it to get another xm that I didn’t need 😂

I think whats causing the PX to have a stronger Detent is basically the width of the lock bar is much wider and stout on the PX. All in design I’m sure since the PX is a much beefier knife which starts with the bigger handle/frame and blade. Originally I thought the lockbar was thinner on the Eklipse but that’s not the case visually anyway.
EDIT: Just did another side by side comparison and the lockbar on the Eklipse looks a little wider in some areas surprisingly.

I can’t blame you, it’s such a great knife. If I wasn’t so in love with my eclipse at the moment, I’d probably be carrying my PX.
My Eklipse calls to me everyday so I hear ya lol. But I’m really enjoying carrying and using my PX 👍🏻
My Skiff bearings arrived today I ordered for the Eklipse. Still trying to decide if and when I’ll install them but man they sure are nice and look pretty beefy.
