Big thank you to whitty and Ellen at USAMadeBlade for excellent service and throwing in some swag. I mentioned earlier that I was on the fence about the WF scale on my stonewash XM-18. Scott had a textured SW scale in stock and I jumped on it. Shipped the same day and was delivered to me this morning, a day early. I installed it straight away.

Until a couple of weeks ago, I didn't even know RHK offered backspacers for the XM-18. When installing, I was impressed with the tight tolerances. In fact, I had to smooth the holes with a small round diamond file for the bs to slide into the nuts. No big deal.

I just noticed this knife on RHK site and am curious too. Their hollow grind is not much hollow But skinny is significantly thinner than the regular.

The thing is, once you get a skinny Eklipse knife, you'll want to get a skinny Eklipse titanium scale, which I'm not sure if RHK ever made.

It’s an early model Rick made himself called the Flame. I showed it to him at Bladeshow a few weeks ago and he really appreciated me bringing it to show him. He made it in 2005 before the XM-18 production. From what I’ve learned, they are nearly impossible to find, especially in new condition.
