Let's see some pictures!

What's that super thin needle-like blade for? Never seen that one :)

It's called the Long Nail File (LNF). It's a fairly rare tool that was on some early SAKs. It's sorta rare to see on intact because they were easily broken.

Here is a better pic:

I thought this was a Climber but it has no keyring so it might be a variation or a different model like a Traveler (still researching it).

Edited to add:
Yeah, it's a Climber. The LNF Climbers did not have a keyring.

A Vic Original Traveller is a Climber with no Keyring..

"The Original Traveller (1.3702/54591) was a an earlier model that was identical to the Climber before the multipurpose-hook was added, but without the keyring."

Are you maybe thinking about a "Passenger"?

Here's my Passenger:

Yes I was talking about the Passenger....I was just checking you out.:p:o

SAK guy,

Thanks, I just couldn't make out what that long skinny tool could be (it does look like it would be fragile now that you say that). :)

On some models, the LNF's were only pinned into the liners which was ok for light duty personal grooming. but I have read of guys using them as metal files....you know how SAK owners are! :D

Intact examples usually command premium prices....

Ken, I have to ask...did you mod the pruner into the sheepfoot blade? I literally just rec'd the SAME knife as a gift from Jennifer, aka Jone in the traditional forum.

I was using the pruner on a clamshell package from hell and while push cutting I must have torqued the tip towards the end of the cut and broke the tip of the pruner:eek:

I did this EXACT mod. I was bummed I broke the tip of the pruner but the sheepfoot mod worked out very well:thumbup:

I'll post pictures when I can.

Would love to hear your story;)

Alox is nice, indeed! But the cellidurs have also nice nice dresses for offer :D

Just a quick pic of some of mine I was finding while I was in the mood of taking some pics ;)

Yes I altered the orginal pruner blade to a Sheepsfoot soon after I got it . I'm a great fan of the Sheepsfoot and although I like the pruner blade on my Rancher I'm pleased and delighted with the way this one turned out .
Its a very simple and easy Mod to make and turns the Pruner model into a more Traditional configured two bladed knife , while also being very modern looking with its colour and texture of handle scales .
I really like this knife , I hope you do to .

Sei il benvenuto mio amico. E sembra che siamo la gente qui solo con un vero senso di leggerezza; l'umorismo non è uno stile di vita apprezzato in questo forum; soprattutto nel tradizionalisti subforum.
