Lets See Some Pure Fighters

Ain't it a fighter :D
A forum member sent me an email asking about some details about my Lamey Fighter. No problem! Now before that, here is another picture of it from the reverse side view :)

It is a large fighter with a 12 5/8" blade and a 5 1/2" handle which makes it a 18 1/8" OAL scary knife! Matt built the knife with a distal tapered blade starting from a 5/16" thick spine at the ricasso to about a 1/16" at the 1" before the blade tip. The blade is having a sort of a gentle toothpick profile with a 2 1/8" width at the widest part of it which is right at the front of the ricasso, a 1 7/8" width at the middle part of the blade and a 5/8" width at the 1" before the blade tip. The blade surface is built in a flat grind with a convex micro-bevel at the sharp edge. And it has a long thin swedge that can be easily sharpened when needed.

The blade is made from W2, the handle material is a Missouri Black Walnut, the guard material is a copper and the pin is made from SS.

Tell you the handle is ergonomically shaped that makes it so comfortable in my grip and the whole blade move real fast and lively in my hand :D

Maybe this is a dumb question because its not a bowie/fighter and maybe I just wanna show it off more but would this push knife be considered a pure fighter? I cant image any other use for it..

I would say that was it's intended purpose :D

Here is my contribution. Though it is much less refined than the fine work presented here, it is a pure fighter that i made for a friend before he deployed to Iraq. He has carried it daily for over a year. Thanks Pait for your service.
It is clay tempered - triple quenched 5160, gun blued blade. 14" OA with homegrown canvass composite handle,
pinoakforge
sheath.
Thanks,
J

My personal pigsticker.... RJ Martin Rampage shorty. Grooved black and green G-10 scales. The grip is phenomenal.

Here's one from one of the deep south boys, a real secretive fellow who lurks deep in the backwoods of Tennessee.... ;)

Here is one I did a few years ago. 350 layer ladder pattern, niter blued mosaic bolsters, ancient ivory handle. This was patterned after and Al MAr fighter.
