I use denatured alcohol in it; seems to work well enough. I don't have much experience with them yet (only built 2 and haven't taken one out in the field yet), but Alan Halcon is on one of the Hoods Woods videos (stoves, sticks, stitches) and he goes into the construction subtleties in great detail. That's actually how I found out about this style.
