Let's see some Survival knife concepts !!!

Oh brother I would but I can't. That one was a feature knife in the article Mr. Hoffman did so I was retiring it since I can't get another like that one. Ill answer your PM's brother!!

This knife has actually been my go to knife for sometime now. I made it in 2005 and it just fits in that not too big....not too small catagory well. It has a 6" cutting edge with plenty of room to choke up and plenty of length to get some chopping action going if needed. Its the green handled one up front and doesnt quite look liek that nowaydays :)

Here's how my lil' project is coming along. The design is by me, waterjet cut by a local shop out of .25" thick A2, bevels expertly ground by Dan Koster, and heat treat done by Paul Bos. Handles are next; I've got some Macassar ebony ready but need some mosaic pins. Time to sand.... Enjoy!

It's not the blade that makes the survivor, it's the man

Choose your weapon accordingly

A $20 knife will serve one as will a $2000 knife

It just depends on the hand that is holding it, and the mind behind, as to what one needs

Thanks! Doodling designs is something I've been doing to pass the time lately. :D

Heres my EDC/camping/survival knife. Its my design with help drawing from pit dog and c bryant. Made by Stomper(JK handmade knives).

It has a 3.5" sabre shaped blade. Alot of folks wouldnt consider it big enough but it does 95 percent of chores with ease. Everything but chopping actually. As you can see it has an extended tang for hammering which in my opinion is alot more important than chopping.
