These have all passed thru my hands, lost that small reg on a hike! that unusual unique was by Bertie Rivkin (SP?) a most unusual one with a wood grain look in the light, was always suprised that it was smooth to the touch, looked rough to the eye. Only the Barry H scaled one remains, she is my EDC.

Thank you both. Now that I think about it, I've never seen a damascus I didn't like...great examples right here in this thread.
 
Is Damascus stronger than the non Damascus blades or is it the same so purely a cosmetic preference? Where do you find these models? I haven't seen them on any dealer web sites. Thanks

I don't know about strength...I actually don't use them anyway, so I guess for me it's cosmetic.
