Photos Let's see them Daggers!! What you have & what you want to get

Thanks! I've always been impressed by the style and craftsmanship displayed by SA Guild members, and SA knifemakers in general. Fine work all around.

Who makes the all black one 3rd one from the bottom in the 2nd row? That thing looks absolutely devastating.

Peter that was made by Brent Sandow. Brent was originally from South Africa but has lived in New Zealand for the past 30 years.
He makes beautiful knives and specialises in the FS pattern. Brent comes to Blade every year so if you are interested in one I can give you his contact details.
It's pictured here with one of my favourite knives, a custom Les George with Chad Nichols Damascus.:)

Nah, that's cool. I was just curious. I'd love to have one but, being they're custom-made, I'm sure they cost a LOT more than I got. :D

Beautiful FS tho, that needle looks like it would complete it's task just by dropping it on the target LOL

I grabbed this last week on impulse. 20.00 USD. AUS-8 and surprisingly well made. Blade stock is thinner than I like for a 5 1/2" poker (personal perference, its about .13 thick) and the sheath is cheaply made, although functional for now. It'll see mostly household/yard use and maybe occasional boot carry on the days I feel like being "that dude." I am looking forward to putting it through its paces. I'm considering stripping the coating because I cringe a little bit every time I read 'Combat Toothpick." I'd recommend it at it's price point. It's basically free SnG (Sh*ts and giggles, not a Strider reference.)

I spend most of my time in the Axe thread. Just thought I’d share this.

As found. Last year.
.
Made a lexan grip for it.

Now I found a bad copy of the knuckle duster.
.
I have no intentions of selling this and I’m not trying to pass it off as 100% legit. That said. Do I put on the fake knuckle duster or just keep my hand made lexan grips ?

The lexan grips make it look like a Russian gangster knife. All you have to do is incorporate a few clear res plastic dice into the handle.

If your not trying to pass it of as real Go for it and post some pics. That would make a nice display dagger sitting in that sheath. Seen one one theBay fetching a nice price without the scabbard:eek: and I see what you mean by a Bad fake on the knuckle Duster. Still it would make display:cool:

Sir, I believe your a vampire, the 2 daggers you have posted can only be owned by an ancient pure blood who doesnt age.

While I think daggers are the most useless small blade available in modern times:confused:, they are quite amazing, and every knife nut needs 1.

Just picked up a RMJ Raider :D. I also like the look of some of the older Euro daggers in this thread.

Speaking of Fairbairn-Sykes, I was finally able to put together and hang up my WW2 knife display. It has a modern manufacture FS by the Egginton group and a fahrtenmesser made by linder. It might not look as good in the pictures but I think it came up pretty good.

Happy holidays everyone!

My mind is now blown. I have seen some old katanas at museums that blew my mind especially with the lack of tools they had, but these are the craziest beautiful blades I have ever seen. I don’t know where to go from here. I will probably never to be able to afford one. And if I could I’m probably not worthy. Thanks @betzner for scrambling my knife noggin. :eek:o_O
