LETS SEE THOSE MAGNIFICENT HARNESS JACKS

American, born and raised, (Buffalo, NY), married a sweet Canadian girl; have lived here in Canada for decades as a Permanent Resident!
A bit of both, I guess!!
Was working in the bush up north in 79,after 5 months of 7/12's we rented a car from rent a wreck and headed to NYC, we stopped in a bar in Buffalo NY that had numbers above the tables (not sure of drinking age,but we were 18)to make a long story short we got a phone call from two young ladies, after an hour they left to pack their bags,so when leaving the bar we spotted them waiting outside. I guess they didn't comprehend what living in a bush camp meant. But first and only time I've been to a bar like that with phones and numbers at the tables.

I left Buffalo for Canada in 1970 - never heard of this place!!
(I'm kinda glad
I'm thinking it was called yesterday's,but might be confusing it with a bar in Edmonton.but it really hit a couple of guys fron northern manitoba, thought it was a whole different world.

Sounds like the best of both worlds to me,I worked with both Armys in Bosnia.

Ended up half dead in an American MASH in Zagreb then went to a Country and Western night when I came out days later (they liked both kind of music 🤣 ).

It didnt go down to well when I asked for Johnny Cash,"thats not our kind of C and W boy "(had me in stitches) then they played Achy breaky heart again...🤭😂

The Canadian camp was great,I always tried to stop there.

Breakfast was like English and I got to ask for eggs over easy (no idea what it meant but always wanted to say it). 😅

They usually had a film playing or something going on.

Charlie those Customs are spectacular, it would be a very long post in describing what we love about each of those Harness Jacks!

Theres almost too much to take in! absolutely gorgeous each and every one!

Charlie, do you find much of a difference in the Custom punches compared to GEC's?

They are both quite effective, Duncan!! The Custom ones are generally sharper upon receiving them, but GEC's designs, inspired by past patents, work very well indeed!!
The Custom ones shaped like sections of tubing cut leather differently than others (see Ruple's knives posts #2166, and #2167), but are effective although limited in size of cut!!
