Live both of them - the HJ10 is a remarkable Knife there’s absolutely no doubt about that!
It’s that Stag 54 though....... WOW are they something else!

I was looking through my picture archives, and found these reminders that Russell made HJs also!!
Some years ago, (about 10 years!), a member of the Oregon Knife Collectors knew I collected HJs and brought the first one, above, for me at the annual show!! That's what friends are!!
The one below came from an old fellow in Kentucky, who collects Russell Barlows!!

Charlie, sure is great to have good friends love that jigging on the 2nd knife, the mark side has a couple worm groves, wonder why they put a long center channel grove on the pile side, is it still consider a worm grove

Frank some of the companies that did "worm groove" did wildly diverse patterns of grooves - all in the effort to simulate Stag!! IMO of course!!

I don't think so, Duncan. The second (worm groove) makes me think of Valley Forge, but I am not sure either or both were not made by Russell?!?!
