In an article I wrote for Knife World many years ago, Tony Bose talked about the "bold swedges" on vintage knives. He loved putting big, bold swedges on his knives, and was even known to touch up his own vintage knives with bigger swedges just because he could. 🙂 In addition to looking nice, cut swedges served a purpose on multi-blade knives. We're coming up on a year since he passed away. Sure do miss him!

Never met the man, but boy did he ever get around, this “ole dog” !!
Bold Swedges are sweet and make room in those wells for a proper fit.
