Got a couple of high dollar packs for the wife and I tonight. Not sure what the heck I'll use them for, but they're cheap, and I'm sure I'll think of something. Wally special.

Pull the cord lock, slide it back, and it folds out of itself:

My newly acquired Becker Patrol Pack. Its used but is in pretty good shape other than it being krylon painted in some.spots. I managed to get most of it off but havent tried to remove from the straps yet. It seems like a great pack. Very well built but thats not something that hasnt been said a thousand times before. Looking forward to taking this camping in a couple weeks.

Behold the thread necromancer;)
Thought i'd bring this one to the top to show off my latest pack. MOAB 10 ftw.
This will be my edc pack (without the external dogeridoos like knives, tarps etc) and it'll see a lot of woods time on day hikes.

I also have a rush 24 and rush 72. Somehow i just can't stop buying 5.11 packs...

Here's a few options I rolled with on my last outing. No straight up backpacks but a smaller EDC by Condor and my personal favorite, a camelbak mule. (Love that thing because it can go anywhere and never gets a second look from anyone)

Got a new Red Rock Rover sling bag in. This is my second, gave the first to my wife. It's obviously a little empty, and flat, but I plan on keeping it that way, only taking what I need for a given hike. Cool little bags. The new ones advertise the top row of molle webbing being replaced with a logo, like so:

I lucked out, and got one of the "old" styles, that has the molle webbing. This one also has velcro on the front, where the other one I had didn't. I wish my BH patch was in OD. I'm going to take the 5.11 bottle carrier off it. I put water in my 38oz Guyot, and carried it around, and didn't like the way it felt. Will have to come up with something different for carrying water. I know there's lots of options out there:

That's a good rig right there Dubz. I've got the same bag and put a roly-poly on the right hand side (and let it sit lower than the pack) for my water bottle. That felt better than anything for me.

You can kind of see it here.

That just might work. That was the problem for me, not the weight per se, just how it rode. I did see a rig for a 32 oz water bottle, that just goes on your belt loop for 10 semolies. My Guyot is 38 oz, but I do have other bottles.

On a side note, when I put the 5.11 carrier on the pack, I thought the color was a perfect match. Sure didn't look the same outside.

Thanks! Been a black and tan kind of guy for a while, but this color was on sale and I went out of my comfort zone to get it. Gotta admit, I like the grayish look of foliage, glad I tried it out.
