Let's see your Becker bags

They shipped my Kelty out yesterday, the same day I ordered it. Should be here some time next week. Free shipping is never fast, but hey, it's free. Can't wait to get it. Not sure if I'm going to keep my Falcon II or not.

Ah, looky what the UPS dude brought me today. Kelty MAP 3500. Really well made pack. Haven't filled it yet, but will later. I opted for the Ocean Grey color, which is a dark greyish green. Really like the color.

Next to my Falcon II, which is filled. You can see the obvious color difference. 800 more cubes than the Falcon II. 2300, vs 1500.

Pretty nice bag. Filled it, and it's pretty comfortable just walking around the house, but I do need to figure out how to adjust for the proper torso length.

I recently picked up a Kelty Redcloud 90... havent used it or stuffed it with anything yet

Heres the Bag I have been Using most lately... Its a Condor with some accessory pouches, I kept picking up the mollie attachments when ever I would stop by Supply Sgt in Burbank or the gunshow in Glendale or Ontario.... I ran out of room for attachments and the bag got heavy quickly.

That's one of the problems, for me at least, with all that molle webbing. It makes ya keep wanting to add shit you really don't need, haha. It's there, so you use it.

Case in point. :D

I'm thinking about the 3-day pack from LA Police Gear. Hard to beat the price. Anybody tried it?

That looks almost exactly like T.H.E. Pack from Spec Ops. I really like mine (T.H.E. Pack), so I'm guessing functionally that the LA Police should be good.

Really liking this Kelty. Got all the adjustments down pat, feels pretty good. Would feel better if my gut weren't this big though, haha. I'll probably take the hip belt off for now. I need to get some more ditty bags now too. One thing nice about the Falcon II, is all the different compartments. Not sure if I want to keep the Falcon II, sell, or trade for something, hmmm....

It is a repo of the Spec Ops The Pack. I have the Spec Ops version it is AWESOME...... I bought my dad the L.A. Police Gear version a couple years ago for Christmas. I will call him and have him post how it has held up.

I am curious on that LAPG pack as well. Not a bad deal if they are built halfway decent.

Guyon! I do have this pack and like it a lot. Psyop got it for me a couple of years ago. Roomy, sturdy, internal and external pockets and lots of Molle straps. I certainly think it would hold up well but honestly I have not used it hard enough to speak from experience. I flew to Maine with it one year as my carry on luggage and then carried it for about 6 days of bear hunting. But still did not have an opportunity either to push its capacity or to abuse it.

It does not have a dedicated compartment for a hydration bladder though I am sure you could still put one in there if that were important to you.

Give it a try!

Loving this Kelty MAP 3500. Thanks for the recommendation Murph. I attached my sleeping bag to it, and was walking around the house. I can't get over how comfortable it is compared to my Falcon II. I may end up getting a bigger, more "mainstream" pack for hiking next year though. I would rather put my sleeping bag inside the pack, and compressed, I can't fit it in this one. Even if I could, there wouldn't be any room left over. I'm going to need a pack I can get a tent, sleeping bag, etc, into.

Just got back from a 35 mile trip with about 35-40 lbs riding in the pack and it was very comfortable the whole time. No complaints at all and I don't plan on replacing this one any time soon.

It's a top loader, but it also has a zippered panel access which is great for accessing stuff sacks in the bottom of the pack. Detachable day pack/ summit pack can also hold a hydration bladder.
Been reading reviews on this one. Really nice pack. Great price too.
