I recently got introduced to Canal Street Cutlery at the Oregon Knife Show in Eugene, OR and I was very impressed with them. I've been looking at everything I can find about them but there just isn't a whole lot out there. So lets see some pictures and some overall feedback about the knife you post a picture of or just anything else Canal Street. I'm especially interested in the Swell Center Jack knife. I really like the way that pattern looks. The Half Moon Trapper is the one I fondled at the knife show and the fit/finish and pull were just superb.

I don't have a pic, but I have the Full Moon Trapper with the Chestnut handles. It has a pretty light pull, I'd say a 3-4 on the clip blade. It borders on being too light for me. Otherwise, I like it. It's the only CSC knife I have, so far anyway. I want a Canittler.

I think they are well made. I like the bone scales.

What do they call this pattern? I really like it a lot! I love the Barlow too it looks very nice and the cocobolo on that muskrat looks fantastic! I really need to try one of these guys out. I'm guessing those Barlows are kind of hard to come by? I'm not a fan of synthetic scales but that one looks nice. If they made it with camel bone scales I would be all over that. The ones I fondled at the knife show had the camel bone scales and they had the reclaimed chestnut scales. I fell in love with their camel bone!

Oh ok I just saw the white linen an assumed it was micarta. I love it even more knowing it's bone!

Real elegance, very nice acquisition:thumbup: Do the handles match well?

I think this pattern is better as a lockback, the Half Moon Trapper which is similar does have an ultra-light pull, that's why it would be more useful as a lockback.

Thanks, Will

Thanks Will, I love this knife. Covers are pretty well matched for being a 100$ knife. I am a big fan of the stainless liners. The Pinch has many options for cover material, and I have to stop myself from buying more of them, and that new barlow.

Thanks Kris, Suddenly getting interested in the Pinchback, I too much prefer stainless or NS liners to brass, much better food knives.

Must check out the CS website and dealers who send to Europe:D

Regards, Will

jkylysses that White linen Barlow is not synthetic but bone.

A website that lists them (out of stock or I'd have one on the way) shows:
Beautiful Balmy and Durable Panama White Linen and Resin Handles
which would be micarta, and it certainly looks like micarta...and is just gorgeous on that knife

It sure looked like micarta to me as well with the what looked like checkered pattern to the scales. I like how it has the CS logo stamped into the bolster. Anybody know how much they were selling for new? I see $110 on their site but that is the msrp price. I love the Sunset Smooth Bone scales!

Sorry guys. I'm bad. I was looking at the the wrong box. It is micarta. Thanks russde for the correction. I have bought so many recently they sort of run together. Yep. About $110 is what they go for.
