Just gorgeous, Jim! If you have a pic with the blades open I would sure like to see those blades. Thanks for sharing.

Sorry guys. I'm bad. I was looking at the the wrong box. It is micarta. Thanks russde for the correction. I have bought so many recently they sort of run together. Yep. About $110 is what they go for.

Dave, one of the warning signs of 'too many knife purchasitis' is the confusing of facts regarding your recent purchases :D

Jim, I saw the pictures as I was scrolling up from the bottom of the page and said to myself, "those pics are from Boggs", and I was right (don't tell my wife, she wouldn't believe you)....beautiful knives. The Paua shell just POPS!

The white camel bone swell center is the most visually appealing to me! I really love the way that knife pattern looks and wish there would have been one of those at the knife show I could have held in hand! The elk looks very nice as well. Very cool group of knives you got there thanks for sharing. That is quite the collection that 2Dead has as well. I really love the green bone and red bone versions in the first picture.

Here's a few, starting with a Moon Pie Trapper in Kudu horn:

I also have a muskrat in elk that was an SFO for another forum, and Dog's Head Kabar stockman that was made by Canal Street

I have my eye on their new Barlows, as soon as I can revive my knife fund after the last few :D

My newest from them is a "pinch lockback in smooth sunset bone." Love it.

Here's the CSC that I have the best picture of:

Jim what would those knives be called? Gunstocks? How is the walk and talk on them. I had a few CS stockmans that were beautiful but the pull on them were soft.

Here you go ....the knife measures4 1/4" closed, clip 3 1/16" and pen 2 1/4" no half stops.......

Outstanding material this handle sports!

Just what I'd like to see on the forthcoming Forum Knife:thumbup::thumbup:

Thanks for showing it Trand.

Regards, Will

Well... I´ve never handled a Canal Street Knife. But these knives seem to have their own great appeal.

I really like their shapes.

(In my eyes, when watching the little details of every brand/cutlery with the US-made knives, they seem to have their own little details and typical parts of construction. Like Queen, Case, GEC etc etc etc)

Thanks for sharing the Canal Street knives... maybe someday sometime... ;)

Beautiful CS's guys, Jim those are some fantastic shots!! Got a few barlows here, first ones are wildebeast, next two are protos, un-edged but otherwise finished (the funky one is white tail tips, along with some elk and mule deer, encvased in black mica pearl acrylic):

OMG your pics of the Barlows have just bumped that knife to the top of my must have list!! Those are just stunning I can't stop looking at the 2nd and 3rd Wildebeast and the last 2 pictures which I'm guessing is the Sunset Bone? They are just perfect I love them! Which steel are they using for the blades on these Barlows?

Jim those chips are funky, aren't they. There's actually some texture there, they sit just a tad higher than the surrounding acrylic when the knife is finished.

JK, yes that's smooth sunset bone. Steel is 14-4CrMo from Latrobe. It's a high end stainless similar to 154CM.

It is 14-4, which is equivalent to ATS34/154CM, all of which are very good SS cutlery steels.
Whoops, beaten to the answer - got caught up watching Vikings on Discovery half way thru answering.

Do they make it in a Carbon Steel version? I know on the modern folder side 154CM is a steel that nobody talks bad about but one of these that would take a patina would look nice too. Wouldn't be a deal killer for me as everything else is so perfect but a nice carbon steel would be the only thing I would change if I had the option. :) How's the pull on these Barlows and do they have half stops?

No carbon steel yet, maybe down the road but it'd likely be several months at least, pull's about a four or five, not too loose but not a nail breaker either. No half stops, cam end on both blades, joints are almost sunk, the back sticks up just a little on each blade when closed. Here's one more for you in stag (satin finish blades on this one):
