Let's see your Charlie SFOs

Looks like you favor the two bladed ones addylo or is that just coincidence? I know I do. Nice knives and nice photo!;)

Primble, I like you and possibly Neal? prefer a two blade Jack knife/Barlow...now I'm sure this is very unscientific but I do believe we are in the minority:confused::o

Ok guys and gals, I had the supreme pleasure of getting to hold the GORGEOUS IVORY HJ6. To say it was a struggle to ship it off is an understatement:thumbup:

The beauty did NOT come from me (someone verrry special though) I just played a very small role in it's journey;)

Duncan, what a truly special HJ you have there my friend...truly special and no one deserves it more then you:thumbup:

Paul my friend, I owe you so very much for not only your fantastic help with helping me get these knives, but...for your friendship and you fantastic Generosity! It really is a very very special knife, just a beauty, I hope I dont sound silly when I say I am am so proud to own that knife.

Glad you like that knife, Duncan, Paul at. al.
Bill did a nice job. I suspect that handle material is going to become scarce.

Charlie my friend, if I had the powers I would knight you kind Sir! Bill has done exceptionally well with your SFO's let alone in his Brand, amazing value for custom quality knives in comparison to the" blue collar worker" prices.

I am sure others know really that GEC means Grand Eminent Charlie

We still have a Sheepfoot to make first. And maybe a long pull Spey. I am still chewing on that one - - - - because the Speys had nicks! Sometimes I can't sleep:yawn: . . . . . . . . . . . .So many knives, so little time!
:D
Yeah! Yeah! YEAH! When when when? I'm drooling already. Those are exactly the ones I'm looking for. Forget the sleep - coffee is on me :D

I don't see that Day's Work Charlow with the clip and spey blades too often. NICE!!!

Shhhhhhh Paul - but, we get an extra blade with every order. Don't tell them or they will get our knives next time. ;)

I did notice, however, of the TC Barlows that came available first, the walnuts went first and then the two bladed ones went before the singles. That surprised me a little bit.

I guess the singles are more popular because I saw where Charlie said he ordered 100 singles vs. 50 of the 2 blades, if I recall properly - on the Stew's Blades.

I watched the KSF offerings closely and also noticed that the 2-blades sold out first. I naturally assumed it was because they were the more popular of the two choices. At the time I didn't know there were half as many of them available.

But did you notice that the last model to stay on the shelf was the single blade one-arm? Four of them lasted well into the next day when practically all other types disappeared within a few hours. Don't know if that means anything but I thought it was interesting.

I noticed the same exact thing Neal. There were three walnut singles available when I ordered mine. It crossed my mind to order all three and use them as Charlow trade bait, but, my good conscious would not let me do it - it did not seem fair. About two minutes later, the walnuts were gone.:D

How many knives I order, is part experience, but largely guesswork! For a bit player like me, I cannot afford to have a big stock of knives. I have to hope the runs of knives sell so I can afford to order the next bunch.
The big roll of knives tell me what I have done, so I do not duplicate past knives, preserving the exclusiveness for all you collectors out there. (Admittedly, it's pretty cool to have one of each also!)

Single blades usually sell about twice as fast as two-blades, so that is why there were 100 single and 50 doubles in the Stew's.

It was nice of you to share, Primble! Many would not!!

I like the idea of the 2 blade versions but love how the single blade disappears in my pocket. If there was ever a 2 blade version made with a clip main & coping secondary then I would be forced to change my habit of buying the single blade version. :)

Cooler than the last beer in Fonzies eski during on his cruise to the Antarctic.:D

I like this pic I took it today and look there's Mt Keira in the distance.

I like that shot as well meako, the patina just speaks of quality use:thumbup:

I just had to share these. These are my favorites right now. The pics seem to make the covers look somehow fragile, but they are dense & hard. A substantial knife in hand, I want to use them, but then, I don't.
