I'm thinking about doing this to mine as well. The hump is in the way no matter how I grip the knife. I knew someone had to have done it already.As a way to start off my Hump night (4/7), I removed the unsightly hump from the Espada handle

What is the handle material in the first 4 pictures ? Added weight compared to the original ?

Thank you! Everything I've done has been aluminum thus far. I weighed the show side scales:
OEM plastic: 14g
1/8" aluminum: 16g
I much prefer the pocket feel of the thin aluminum handles. No noticeable increase in weight.
