I don't have many pictures of myself, as I always seem to be the one taking the pictures.
You can't see much of it, but I sure dig my Filson double Mackinaw.

Carhart cordura fronted canvas workpants, treated with FILSON drywax, underneath i wear poly pro lohnjohns, on the feet i have polypro liners, thin wool socks, then thick wool socks and old army boots.
upper body i wear a 5:11 "under armor" copy heat shirt, topped with a CDN Forces olive drab fleece jacket (sometimes i wear wool too!). If it gets really cold i wear a TAIGA down jacket (the original German sewn one, not the new crappy China made ones) or vest. I also have a CDN Forces parka (the one with 2 slant radio/mag pockets.
for gloves i have surplus German wool and leather sniper mitts with extra thumb (trigger thumb) Move the finger to the firing position for shooting, move it back into the mitt for warmth. They are so warm i often only wear them for a few minutes then remove them. They are treated with Obenaufs LP to condition and waterproof the leather mitt.
for headwar i have a plain ol wool watchcap toque

Love the Filson Double mack you have. Love the green and charcoal colored ones. I'm poor so I had to settle for the red/black when they went on sale for $200 bucks off
Gotta love wool. BTW, looks like you have a nice wool sweater under it. What kind is it?

It is funny, because I have all this stuff like the Filson double mackinaw that goes for big bucks new. But, somehow I come across deals and I got that one for about $170 less than they sell for new
Yes, I have another wool sweater on underneath, but you are not going to find one anywhere. My wife made it. I was giving her crap the whole time she was making it
I kept saying "It's not gonna fit....that looks too small." When she was done, if fit perfect. Once cold weather hits, I wear that thing every day.B

Winters USED TO BE brutal here in northern NY, but global warming seems to be having it's greatest affect on the northeastern winters.
Anyway, I do some of my fishing through the ice. Warm clothes are vital to having a good time while ice fishing! I usually start with a layer of polypro long johns, a thick flannel or wool shirt, then a heavy North Face parka with its thick fleece liner zipped in. Down below, I have on a pair fleece pants over my long johns, then a pair of GoreTex wind pants. On my feet are the wonderful Sorel "Bear" boots. Toasty!

over the other colors.As I chopped wood today ready for the colder weather that will soon be upon us my mind wandered onto my winter clothing.
My main items are Buffalo and Paramo !
I just wondered what everyone wears ?
And on a more winter looking day !
WTF it never gets cold here, what do you mean winter wear?

Whats all that white stuff all around you????? I remember something like that as a baby only.... The funny part is that in the desert you can have 90 deg during the day and i been there where it drops to 20eg at night.. Pit as always you got some sweet pics there. How does Missy take to the cold???
