Lets see your CPK in Leather!

No worries brother ! I didn’t mean for my responses to come across as negative or defensive. Apologies to all, if so. Sometimes I try to hard to be funny or get caught thinking through a situation while writing. Perspective is welcome and I appreciate your and Richard’s opinions. 👍🏼
No worries. I didn’t take your responses as negative or defensive. 👍🏼 I like the discussion. Always good for me to keep an open mind myself.

Keep plugging away…your work is really progressing.

Hard to beat a JouFuu ISP for EDC pocket carry.

That is a handsome knife and sheath combo Gus.

It is a damn shame that carrying a fixed blade “concealed” is a Felony in California. Of course the law is vague enough that even with some of the handle sticking out of your pocket, LEO’s & Judges can still interpret that as an act to conceal. As much as I would love to pick up and use one of Bud’s EDC sheaths, it is not worth the hassle here. 😩

Same silliness up here in Washington. Nonsense, I say ! 🙄

Thanks Phil! That CA law is rough. I guess you’ll have to to use an OWB open carry from one of our many talented leather craftsmen. I always got a kick when watching The Son’s of Anarchy, the main character would ride around on his Harley with a K-Bar in plain sight in a drop loop sheath. I conceal everything here in FL:)

The sad irony of California is that the state uses the wild & free Grizzly Bear as its symbol on the flag while our political overlords endlessly pass new legislation to further shackle and cage the lumpenproletariat into evermore bland “conformance.”

Just received this work of leather from one of our great makers, a huge shout out to EMCEE EMCEE for making this. I’m sure that the inlay was a pain but it turned out fantastic. The stitching is uniform and tight with perfect retention and the roster stamp shows who he relates to. Thank you Michael!! View attachment 2728273View attachment 2728274
I’m very pleased that you like it Martin. Thank you !

Great job EMCEE EMCEE ! It is always cool to see when a plan comes together between a maker/artist and a customer, especially when they are good friends too. Well done gentlemen! 👏

You know Phil I have seen that we are all friends here😉. I don’t know how many times the regulars have stood up for me and the annual meeting at the compound just shows how Nathans influence has brought us all together.👍👍

Much appreciated Phil ! This sheath is literally a “labor of love”. Martin sold me my first CPK at a VERY reasonable price and has shown me many kindnesses since. He even had the foresight (on a gamble) to ask for for one of my earliest sheaths ( it was rough ) . I have literally prayed for the opportunity to return, in kind. Not quite there yet. ❤️

All so true.
EMCEE EMCEE are you using a double saddle stitch on your sheaths? I need to make a few sheets, but I'm wondering if trying to start with the double saddle stitch is a mistake
Brother, I use a stitching awl which is slightly different than a saddle stitch. It’s like a 1 1/2 stitch versus 2 . A saddle stitch is usually accomplished with the leather in a vice while holding two needles and piercing the leather from opposite sides…too complex for my pee brain. 🤣

I enjoy using the awl because I can sit around anywhere doing it. Of course, sometimes my dawg Walter sometimes thinks it’s a chew game. 😡❤️😡 YouTube has excellent videos on the subject. Stitching awls, saddle stitching needles, and thread are cheap. Leather sewing machines…not so cheap.

Hit me up any time and I’ll offer up the opinions or advice I’ve acquired. We can also reach out to the handful of other excellent leather crafters that frequent the forum. Excited to see what you come up with sir !!!

Shoot me a pm and I’ll share my # as a resource, if you’d like. 👍🏼

Just received this beautiful sheath for the Shiv 2 this afternoon from Frazer, S SIx Magpies , after its journey from the UK. Fit and finish is spot on. Thank you so much, Frazer, it's a wonderful and worthy addition.

Forgive the quick images, it's the first time the sun peeked out in a couple of days. I had to hurry.
