New Sagewood Gear sheath for my HDFK...Brian is great to work with, sheath is beautiful, had it about 2 weeks now—arrived in immaculate shape, rock solid, fantastic finish...whats not to love?

Thanks SpyderMan! The Mashed Cat kydex sheath that came with the HDFK is really nice as well, great retention and very light, but I really prefer leather for most applications...really cant go wrong with either though

Agreed - the Mashed Cat’s are terrific! That said, leather just looks sooo slick.

If you have a scale, I’d love to see the dif betwixt the mashed cat and sagewood

Why in fact, I do have a scale handy! The standard issue Mashed Cat with Tek-Lok is 5.2 oz; The Mashed Cat with a Sagewood Kydex sheath adaptor (kydex sheath attachment, leather belt loop) is 5.0 oz; and the Sagewood Randall style leather sheath pictured weighs in at 6.6 oz
