Anyone had any pants made for the UF recently? Looking for ideas.
To this end, I am offering the following....

Tomorrow or Tuesday I am sending a standard UF down to Paul Long. I am happy to let any of you use it while it is there, I just ask that you let me know so that I may relay to Paul who will be contacting him to use the knife as a pattern.

Normally, Paul does not accept orders without the specific knife in hand, but he knows Nathan's tolerances and how they are all exactly the same, so he is willing to do it for these.

Two notes:

Again, please let me know if you want a sheath from Paul as I will let him know who will be contacting him. I will then let you know once I have relayed it to Paul and you can contact him after he has my knife in hand. If it doesn't go down this way, then I am cutting off the opportunity, as I don't want people contacting him and then he has to figure out what the hell you are talking about. Let's put a time frame on it, in fact, so I only call him once with a complete list of names, let's say you all let me know by this coming Friday night, Jan 18th.

Second, this would be for standard pattern UFs only. If you ordered a double edged dagger grind on the pre-order, the fit will be different. I will send my double edge to him when the time comes, but we will all have to wait for that.

Let me know via PM if you want me to prep Paul to expect your call.

Thanks for the very kind offer. Your Inbox is full. I would love to run a few questions by you, as I am not familiar with Mr Long’s work.

Inbox is cleaned out and excepting messages. I don't speak for Paul, but I will try to field whatever questions you may have. He is the OG BMF sheathmaker of sheathmakers.

In the mean time, a Google search for "Sheath by Paul Long" then click on images, should tell you all you need to know.

^ Yup, QFT.

Everyone on here who knows me, knows that I unabashedly support Grog although he's been a total Turd-Blossom, but he's my (turd) boy ;) Even Grog readily admits that Paul Long is the Godfather to all these wannabes :p (my term of endearment but I believe that Grog had used the phrase "the rest of us mooks!" )

I know guys are waiting, and waiting, and waiting. Nobody is forgotten, no one is ignored. I became too used to working my 8 hours and having some extra time for leather work. I'm working 12 hours now and not getting my own work done nowadays, much less any leather. It's not an excuse, I'm trying to figure a way to do this leather stuff full time. In the mean time, God knows I wouldn't hold it against anyone to take their business elsewhere. But, in a totally not my business kind of way, I love seeing the Paul Long work.

I'm going to steal some past photos of Paul Long made sheaths for the UFs without any permission from Mike or Tommy :D Some samples below and always remember my motto by Plato: All learning is remembering
