thank you, brothermanIt's always fun and humbling to look back on where we started when developing a new skill set.
Your leatherwork has gottena littlesomea lottonsExponentially better since that one was made.![]()
I am happy that you are enjoying the new sewing machine.
Phil
there are a few non sheath related projects for that machine in the hopper, but having just gotten my work space organized enough to get going before the end of winter, I've gotta spend some time dialing things in before I start going to town with that thing, (I named it Sting). Realistically, I think I'ma take the summer off in the shop, except for upgrading it. The bike store is picking up and pretty soon I'll be working five days a week again. I got just enough stuff done over the winter that I can coast for a bit before punchin it next winter and beyond.
I just pulled the trigger on a bench top mill. Spent my entire weekend doing my taxes- yes, it's not my strong suit- but I did them and it seemed like it might be a good time to think about the kinds of expenses I'll want for 2026. With that in mind, I started re researching mini mills for the umpteenth time. Stopped in at Busy Bee, and lo and behold, one of the machines I had my eye on for quite a long time is about $1300 off, which is a pretty big chunk of the $4000 price tag. These machines don't often go on sale. So, even though I'd prefer a better machine, this one will do and who am I kidding? It'll be fine or probably better than fine for a kook like me.
lots of folders in the beginning stages on the bench, just waiting to be milled!
