Let's see your desks!

AWESOME!!!

And yes, I think her desk is covered in valuable information..

Why do you think I started this thread in the first place?! ;)

I thinky you might be right!!!

BAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA

This is my HOME OFFICE!!! Well my only office, now that I am retired. Oh yeah, and I built the desk from scratch and installed all the other cabinets!

OMG, I'm having flashbacks!!
Based on the orientation of the Fig, the witness chair, as well as the height of interrogation chair elbow rests, (not to mention where the paper cutter is located) I would have to guess that the paddle is hanging on the wall directly behind the interrogation chair.

...or, perhaps you were discreet, and kept it hidden in the lower, left hand desk drawer...just to keep us wondering???:(

Hmmmm:confused:

Here's my desk(s):

I've got another one that has a computer on it, but it only gathers dust right now. There could be ifni hidden under the pile, I know there are sheath parts in there.

I don't see how you could tell I was a School Principal from that photo! :D :D :D

Here's the resized image: give it a click for the original res. Just in case you feel like scrutinizing! :p

Edit: I love these types of threads btw.

Are those Grado RS1s?!?!?!?!?
If so, Nice CANS!
I have Grado SR 80s for home, and Shure SE 530s for school, the bus, and the gym.

They certainly looked like $$$ Grado's to me. But you Busse guys are loaded. I have a pair of e4c's with internally frayed cords. :(

I was noticing that myself. Very nice. I haven't heard the Grado's myself, but obviously top shelf.

Personally, I was more interested in the tube amp behind them!!!

And I like the monster monitor. But, just a 22" for me for now. I just have my monitor a bit closer. :o

I have SE530's myself. VERY nice and I love the sound. But, I had some of the famous wire issues about 3 months after my warranty. Considering the nature of the issue and how well documented, I sort of thought Shure would help me more with it, but not so much. Unlike Busse, out of warranty is out of warranty to them. :( They offered me replacements at a "Discount". But, my replacements have a tiny bit of static in the right. So, I am about to have to send those back. Very unfortunate. They do sound awesome. But, at their price and considering I knew about the "potential" wire issues in advance so I BABIED the heck out of them - I always stored in their case, careful not to twist or kink the wires, NO scratches or ANY abuse, I would hope they could be expected to last MANY years.

I had an old pair of AKGs that still worked awesome at almost 25 years old - and I DIDN'T baby those! I gave them to my nephew and picked up some K701s - they are OK - Maybe great - I don't know yet - I need a desk-top amp and good DAC to really see what they can do. I have just been using out of my computers sound card. :o :(

I picked up an iBasso D10 which is AWESOME with my SE530's (and improves the K701s, but the K701s need more power). For portable, (although a bit heavy with the D10), I even picked up a iRiver H140 with optical to have a full optical portable system. VERY nice. Now I just need to get my SE530's fixed. I hate to send them off and be without them for 2-4 weeks. :(

Nice desk and all Will. I actually like my home office and desk just fine...... but THIS is what my desk is missing :( :

I honestly don't care for cold weather, but I LOVE the mountains and any way you slice it, that is a gorgous view. I am jealous of that. Maybe some day.

Thanks for the nice compliment, Doug. I lived most of my life in south Texas, so I know where you're coming from. Plenty of natural beauty there, don't get me wrong, but the mountains just have a special something ...

Those are actually Grado GS1000i.

I had a pair of RS1i's but sold em recently. They were beyond awesome but I just like my GS1Ki (pictured) that much more.

Coupled with that Mapletree Audio tube amp, it's like something out of a dream!:thumbup::thumbup:

Here's a shot of the amp. It's hand made (point to point wiring) by Dr Lloyd Peppard in Seeley's Bay, Ontario.
