I still won’t carry a fixed daily outside of the house, due to the stigma in my parts.

At my house, I carry a fixed almost always. I have come to really appreciate the DS8. It’s my favorite working Busse. I switched my BAE2 for the DS8 and it was a great choice.

I dig roots, chop roots, small limbs, smash rocks away with the spine - I give it no quarter. Some small chips on the edge, some rolled edge on the upsweep of the blade, and it’s still as strong as ever. I almost feel like the edge is more “working” now with use. I ‘think’ it’s getting more robust with use. After all, it’s a Combat Knife and it shouldn’t waiver in suburbia. I also used it as a pry bar for a hitch on my ATV.

I do carry this knife daily, but only at my house, so far.

Hard to beat the swamp warden!!! And a AD is a great one and the AMS is really sweet. Those are top 3

If you see this PG and by chance still have that lil sucker; I'd probably make you an offer you couldn't refuse. Because it would be crazy generous; not because of, ya know..
 
My go to EDC busse is my BT-6. Haven't carried it in 2 weeks though. Think that might be my Sunday carry. I really need to get a taco sheath for it to make it a little more compact.
 
Although I would like to EDC my Busses, my company has a strict “no knives” policy that’s punishable by firing, so I only EDC one of my Murray Carter neckers (which are completely invisible). Pictured below with my Carters though, are the two Busses I would like to EDC if I were in a reasonable environment daily...

That Tiger Warden was given the AZTimT treatment, with a Stripetition and choil mod. :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::D It’s now absolutely perfect. Meanwhile, the Mean Street Ergo needs no extra work as it was always perfect. :cool:
 
Since I pocket carry my 340PD I carry a fixed blade 90% of the time, even for my daily office job. I belt carry a pistol a little more in the colder months when the folders see more action. I don't like changing that too much because of trained response/muscle memory and all that.

Truth be told, I have probably 30 fixed blades that see regular belt time, most are Busse but also some CPK, Zu and a Caswell I'm quite fond of.

My most recent addition is a BA3 that will be weekend and around the property carry.

Awww, don't be such a tease Chad, I want to see ALL of the Key Lardoo_O That tequila handle would match my SAR 3 beautifully. And of course, the sheath is lovely :thumbsup:

I was just up there with it snapping some folder pics for another thread and should have taken one. It was growling at me for even pulling out the folders :)
 
Sorry for the resurrection thread but it got me to thinking, anyone know what specific thicknesses of the Active duty have the hardness upped? was it just the .125 ones or was there others?
