Let's see your good old basic fixed blades, Bowie's, Stickers, etc.

I actually have that written down on something right in front of my keyboard.
I got it confused with the Indian name of the British woman who was a famous disciple of Radakrishna. If I've got his name right.

This might be my best H-15:

LOL! :D I've had a lot of stuff from that site. I'm glad I stocked up on their knives in the past, as they won't shit them to Britain anymore, too much of a PITA I'm sure  That's a nice one

Naval Dirk. Cold Steel interpretation of the classic shipboard weapon features a 16 1/2", double edged, 1055 Carbon steel blade with a wide fuller and a thick spine for strength. To protect one's fingers and to serve as an aid in parrying, it has a solid brass cross guard. The traditionally styled polished black horn grip is ornamented with a brass pommel and matching spacers. Handsomely crafted and ready for battle, the Cold Steel Naval Dirk comes complete with a wood lined leather scabbard. The scabbard includes a decorative brass throat and chape (metal tip) as well as a brass carrying ring. Long discontinued from Cold Steel.

Funny the things I'll think I need.

The "Schrade" "Heritage" is almost a copy of the Selkirk, but I "need" it because the edge has more curve and the blade is ca 3/8" longer than the Selkirk.
Or I need the buck Alpha Guide because the edge is more curved than the Selkirk (even though the blade is a little bit shorter, like 1/8"), and it would be lighter than the Selkirk, without the integral end-plates.
And the Nieto Criollo is not wildly dissimilar to any of the above, but the 6" blade makes the point seem a little distant for non-stabbing purposes, and the edge could be more curvaceous, and a straight heel would be safer than the Spanish notch on a blade this narrow.
My BPS Savage and a couple of Argentinian verijeros aren't wildly dissimilar, either.

Still, I'm sure I'll buy more similar unnecessary knives, though not right now.

I am familiar with that thinking Jer! 😁

This was made in Madison Co. Ky by and man named Frank Otero. Not sure how long he had it before I bought it. 1095 with some kind of stag (not sure what kind). It’s about 15 inches overall with about 9.5 inches of blade. Brass guard and pins. The blade is thin behind the edge, making it very slicey. I gave around $100 for it. I’ll be making a sheath for it sometime soon.
