Let's See Your GREENS!

I like green. There some great examples being posted...
The knife on the right is called Antique Green Bone. I have a hard time calling it green, and I wish it had more vivid green in it. The antique greens vary, and some have more coloring to them, than others...

Just got one of those Antique Greens from a sale thread. I really like it, not vivid green true but a really nice piece of cutlery  I think the colour may be like what has been called Bradford? Bone . Impressive finish, tough pull mind:D

Thanks, Will

Brett, the Bermuda Green Copperlock is just a wonderful shade and intensity of green, one of my favorites.

#73 "Antiqued Green Bone" (as you can see, it has very little green):

Either you got the wrong picture, or I need a new monitor. I don't see any "green" at all.

Haha - your monitor is fine, Frank. That's my picture - knife is straight from the tube that reads "Antiqued Green Bone." It's a little more green in person (camera sucks), but only at the very ends.

That reminds me of the old "green-bone" handles from decades past, which to my eyes never looked very green at all (more orange, yellow, even red/brown).

Greenbone (one word) seems to be a type of bone process, not a color, like Case Bermuda Green Bone (two words). Im not sure where the term comes from. Here is some info on feeding Green Bone to chickens (in this case green seems to mean fresh, not dried)

I took a stroll through my collection, and found a couple of good examples of possible permanganate Greenbone (also known as Antique Amber)

In honor of St. Patty's Day, here's a little Case Greenbone from the XX era
