A while back when I was working at a knife store, they changed a Benchmade display which contained some sheets of tool steel from which blade blanks had been cut. I cut one of the largest pieces from it and made this knife, entirely on the belt sander at the store.

These are some pieces similar to what I made the knife from.
I don't really use the knife, or carry it, but I'm proud of the work I did, and I recently got a belt grinder of my own to start some new projects.
This was my first attempt at a pocket tool. It's mostly just a little prybar/screwdriver. It didn't come out as good as I'd hoped (Atwood has set the bar far too high), but I like it as a first try. It's a bit simple for my tastes, but I'm not ready for anything more complicated yet.
In comparison, the knife was easy because all the curves are pretty organic. With the pocket tool, sharp angles trip me up because I'm a bit of a perfectionist, and it the angles aren't straight, I'll mill through the whole thing trying to fix it.
