Let's see your outdoors knife

Big Mike, Who makes that recurve looking thing that you just posted? It looks really nice

That my friend is a Thai E-Nep.

The example I have was made by a man who has studied modern heat treatment methods, the edge holds up very well to the tough chopping jobs I have used it for.

A friend in Thailand had to drive 6 hours up into the jungle to get it, he tells me that it was made from an old truck spring and crafted without the benefit of any power tools.

The blade is close to a quarter of an inch thick at the ricasso with a full distal taper, it is a serious chopper while still being well balanced and fast in the hand.

It always gives me pleasure to use this fine handmade tool from the other side of the globe. :D

There are some fantastic knives in this thread.

This has been my main outdoors knife for about eight months. It's a Delta 5 drop point, with contoured G-10 handles:

This BK-9 has been my go-to chopper for about five years. It's a beast!

The Delta 5 is going to take a bit of a break. My new hiking / camping companion is going to be this JK Anniversary knife:

All the best,
