That Trapper you have there willgoy is from the 1st set in `91. The `93's have the Winterbottom bone covers.

Been looking at this knife for a couple of weeks but just can't pull the trigger yet as I read somewhere that the blade is a little short for the handle length. Can anyone confirm this or better still provide actual blade/cutting edge and handle measurements. Thanks!

I took a quick picture of the Heritage (forgive the quality), along with a couple of other well-known knives for comparison sake; I would agree that the blade/handle length ratio isn't optimum, but I have bigger hands, and find the GEC 15 frame a bit small for my liking. Hope this helps!

Picked up my first S&M, a barlow. Nice looking and feeling knife and the blade is scary sharp out of the box.
